About us

We are Arnoud Mantingh and Desiree Ceelen. In 2010 a long and pleasant search for an area that met our needs led us to the Merindades, the northernmost region of the province of Burgos and reputedly the birthplace of modern Castile. After seeing many properties, in 2011 we eventually stumbled upon on an old farmhouse that offered everything we were looking for. Following extensive renovations carried out in collaboration with a local architect and builders we have made our dream to open a Casa Rural a reality. This means we can now offer a comfortable stay in one of the - ever rarer - Spanish regions not yet affected by international tourism. In addition, we like to share our experience and knowledge about the many possibilities of the area with our guests. But you can also make your own plans.
